Ingredients:
- 1 cup (185g) long-grain white rice
- 2 cups (480ml) filtered water
Instructions:
- Place the rice in a fine-mesh strainer and run cold water over the grains for 30–60 seconds, swirling gently until the water runs clear.
- Combine the rinsed rice and water in a small pot and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat to the lowest setting, cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, and simmer undisturbed for 15–17 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes to allow moisture to redistribute.
- Gently fluff the rice with a fork to separate the grains before serving.
