Ingredients:

  • 2 slices (56g) whole grain bread
  • 1 tbsp (14g) unsalted butter
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Select bread with a mild scent, such as whole grain or plain white sourdough, to avoid nausea triggers.
  2. Place slices in the toaster on a medium setting until the edges reach a mahogany-colored crispness. Alternatively, heat in a non-stick skillet over medium for 2 minutes per side until the surface is firm and dry.
  3. Immediately spread the unsalted butter onto the hot toast so the residual heat melts the fat into the pores of the bread.
  4. Add a pinch of sea salt if desired to help with electrolyte balance.
